Chicago boat show just ended last Sunday and people are already talking about the new fishing season. With winter temperatures way above normal so far it wont be a surprise if season starts earlier than ever. That being said there is a lot of work still to be done on the new boat. As seen on the picture the hull bottom needs to be re-done since the old paint is fading off. That and some more improvements are pending so please check for the latest boat news and plan ahead for the opportunity to book your trip.

What’s new in 2020?

It’s my pleasure to finally make the announcement and share the excitement about the new boat coming to our fleet – a 339 Penn Yan commander, which is roughly a 35 feet fly bridge boat with twin 5.7 liters Mercruiser engines and over 100 ft of fishing deck space – a truly fishing vessel with all the amenities a seasoned angler can think about. With this new addition we can offer a variety of fishing trips that can not only accommodate larger groups, but provide additional assurance to our customers for quality time spent on board of Why Knot Chicago fishing charter enterprise. Pictures are coming soon so stay tuned for more exciting news.

Awesome start of the season!

The beginning of 2019 season has been noting short of spectacular. With abundance of bait fish near Chicago shore line, anglers enjoyed catching limits of Coho Salmon using power lines from the harbors or simply trolling for them. From this point on, the weather can only get better since it transitions from the spring pattern to a more stable state. Exciting days are ahead due to the appearance of King Salmon on a regular basis as well - and that, fellow fisherman, is the ultimate reward for anyone regardless of age or gender. If you’d like to take a part of the fun, simply plan your trip ahead of time for a chance to enjoy everything the city of Chicago has to offer, including the fishing experience of a life time!

Big Changes in 2017!

Happy 2017! We have some big changes in store for Why Knot Charters. We are in the process of purchasing a new boat for this year. We are moving to a 25 foot boat that will be a fishing machine. This will help us be one of the most green charters on Lake Michigan as we will be burning much less fuel per trip. This equates to less cost for you the customer. A win win situation!
